About this tool
Convert Unix timestamps to local time, UTC, ISO 8601 or HTTP date — and the reverse.
The BrainCoder Timestamp Converter converts between Unix timestamps (epoch seconds) and human-readable dates and times. Unix time counts the number of seconds since January 1, 1970 (the Unix epoch) and is the standard time format used in APIs, databases, logging systems, and distributed computing.
Paste a timestamp like 1725000000 or 1725000000000 and read it instantly as your local time, UTC, ISO 8601, or an HTTP date (RFC 2822). Convert the other way by typing or editing a date and time directly — the timestamp updates as you type. Values of 10 and 13 digits are auto-detected as seconds and milliseconds respectively, with a manual override checkbox when you need either interpretation.
Local times show your browser's timezone name and current UTC offset, a live 'Current Unix time' line ticks next to the Now button, and every result has a one-click copy button. Everything runs entirely in your browser — no timestamp is ever sent to a server.

How to use Timestamp Converter
Follow the steps below to use the tool.

Paste or type a timestamp such as 1725000000 (seconds) or 1725000000000 (milliseconds). 13-digit values are auto-detected as milliseconds; use the checkbox to switch interpretation.

Type or edit a date and time in the 'Date & time (local)' field, e.g. 2024-01-05 14:30:00. The Unix timestamp updates as soon as a complete valid date is entered.
